Neurocognitive dysfunction in mood disorders

چکیده

There has been considerable interest in the neurocognitive functioning of subjects with mood disorders (Bcardcn ct al., 2001). I "'torn a theoretical viewpoint, the dysfunction provides insight (especially when monitored with fMlll) into the biological underpinnings, for example, structure and pathway integrity, of mood disorders. From a practical viewpoint, neurocognitive dysfunction underpins many of the activities of daily life and contributes significandy to social, and especially occupational, performance.
